Frequently Asked Questions

  • I choose not to bill insurance due to the constraints insurance payers put on the type of care I can provide.

You will see only your PT for an entire hour, and will likely see results after your first visit.

The time you will save and the quality of care you will receive will be well worth the cost (which often turns out to be less than one’s copay for the number of visits needed in the insurance system).

  • Initial visit- $195

    Follow-up visit- $185

Most clients see their desired results in 2-4 visits and are seen monce every 2-4 weeks.

Your starting point, the severity of your issue, and your long-term goals will determine the frequency and duration we will work together.

  • Most states allow direct access for physical therapy, meaning you do not need a referral.

However, if you are planning on requesting reimbursement from insurance, you will need to check with your provider, as some payers require referrals.

  • Empowering Through Movement is our philosophy and mission. Therefore we take a “movement first” approach to treatment.

When necessary and consented, we do perform manual/hands-on physical therapy techniques, including but not limited to joint mobilization/manipulation and soft tissue/myofascial mobilization. But, we believe what you do in the 167 hours per week outside our office matters more than the hour we spend together. Therefore, any hands-on techniques will be followed with education and active movement to empower you to manage your healing and get/keep results long-term.

We are always open to feedback from you regarding your treatment. We, you and your therapist, will always make decisions regarding your treatment as a team so it is sustainable and fits into your life.

  • If you are apprehensive about a pelvic exam or have no clue what happens in pelvic PT, you are not alone! Our owner Dr. Natasha wrote a blog post for you outlining What to Expect in a Pelvic Floor Exam.

Hint: We talk A LOT in your first visit and only perform internal examination when/if you are comfortable.

  • Absolutely! There is no reason not to perform internal pelvic therapy during your period. However, if you would prefer not to, there is always external and full-body work to do so the session would not be wasted!

Active infection (yeast, urinary tract/bladder) is a contraindication for internal work.

Internal treatment will always be a collaborative decision we make together!
